Dates: how to say them
A date is said as the day (ordinal number) + the month. On its own the month stays in the nominative: deseti jul (10 July). With a year, the month goes into the genitive: deseti jula dve hiljade dvadeset šeste godine.
Examples
Danas je deseti jul.
Today is the tenth of July.
Rođen sam prvog marta.
I was born on the first of March.
Dolazim petog avgusta.
I'm arriving on the fifth of August.
