Genitive case (genitiv)
The genitive answers "of whom?" and "of what?". It is used after od (from), do (to, until), iz (out of), bez (without), kod (at someone's place) and to express quantity and possession.
Examples
od kuće do banke
from home to the bank
čaša vode
a glass of water (voda → vode)
bez šećera
without sugar
Tips
- Nema + genitive = there isn't any: nema hleba = there is no bread.
