Izvini vs. Izvinite

Izvini = sorry, excuse me (to one person you call ti). Izvinite = sorry, excuse me (formal, or to several people). Pardon and Oprostite are alternatives. Use them to get someone's attention or to apologise.

Izvinite, gde je stanica?
Excuse me, where is the station?
Izvini, kasnim malo.
Sorry, I'm a little late.

Tips

Starting a question with "Izvinite" is the polite way to address a stranger.
