Present tense type 2: radim (verbs in -iti / -eti)
Verbs ending in -iti and many verbs ending in -eti are conjugated using the -im type. Endings: -im, -iš, -i, -imo, -ite, -e. Base = infinitive without -iti/-eti.
raditi → radim, radiš, radi, radimo, radite, rade
govoriti → govorim, govoriš, govori, govorimo, govorite, govore
nositi → nosim, nosiš, nosi, nosimo, nosite, nose
voleti → volim, voliš, voli, volimo, volite, vole
Examples
Radim od devet.
I work from nine.
Govoriš srpski!
You speak Serbian!
Volimo Beograd.
We love Belgrade.
Tips
- The third person plural is always -e: rade, govore, nose, vole.
- Voleti (to love) and živeti (to live) are also type 2, despite the ending -eti.
