Coffee: a social ritual
Coffee (kafa) is less a drink than a ritual. "Hoćeš kafu?" (Would you like a coffee?) is an invitation to talk. Turning it down can seem a little cold. Traditional Serbian coffee (domaća kafa) is boiled in a džezva, not made in an espresso machine.

Tips
- Accepting coffee shows you are open to a chat. If you don't really want one, ask for "malo" (just a little).
